Sholina’s Morning Magic Detox Tonic

Do you want a super duper energy booster? You (like most people) may feel a bit lethargic in the mornings and have more brain fog throughout the day because your body is not eliminating toxins properly. Your liver function is likely very highly inhibited and needs a detox! High stress and bad diet cause the body to become highly acidic. This tonic combines the best ingredients known for improved circulation, liver function, detoxification, digestion, hydration, and skin complexion. It also has a ton more benefits by increasing healthy gut bacteria, metabolism, support for your adrenals, and absorption of nutrients from food. In addition to all of that, it reduces insulin sensitivity, spikes in blood sugar levels, oxidation of LDL cholesterol, heartburn, bloating, inflammation, headaches and other aches and pains. It’s magic!

For improved body and brain function, try taking this tonic every morning on an empty stomach for 2 weeks. It’s not the most pleasant taste, but the benefits will greatly outweigh the few uncomfortable seconds it takes to drink it. Tips on drinking this Magic Tonic: 1. drink it with a straw to bypass most of your taste buds; 2. rinse your mouth out immediately with water afterwards to prevent any tonic residue from making your teeth sensitive; 3. wait 20-30 mins before drinking or eating anything afterwards.

 

1 cup of warm (not hot!) filtered water (or ginger tea – make it once and keep in fridge for a few days so it’s ready for you the next couple of days)

Juice of half an organic lemon

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (ACV) (increase to 2 if you can tolerate the taste)

1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt

1/8 teaspoon of turmeric powder

Pinch of black pepper

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Mix these simple ingredients and drink up. It may take up to 5 days to notice the detox benefits depending on how many toxins are in the body. Remember to keep your eye on the prize: reverse the aging process and have way more energy!

Note: If you suffer from indigestion and bloating, I highly recommend adding apple cider vinegar to your diet 10 mins before lunch and dinner as well – 1-2 teaspoons of ACV and no more than a quarter cup of warm filtered water. This should greatly reduce the acidity and maximize digestion.
